Employee Benefit Claims
The introduction of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA) has changed the way in which we are able to access personal health information (PHI) on behalf of our clients. The privacy standards protect medical records and other confidential health information that identifies an individual, and relate to a past, present or future physical or mental conditions on the individual or the payment of health care for that individual. As a result of HIPAA, individuals must now take a more active roll in researching claims information directly with the carriers.
As your broker it is our policy to assist our clients in making sure you are receiving the highest quality of services from your carrier. If at any time throughout the process you require our expertise in accessing your claims information or clarifying coverages with the carriers, we are here to assist you in that process.
Workers' Compensation Claims
Recent workers' compensation reform places more emphasis on reporting claims
quickly to the insurance company, as employers are now responsible for paying
up to $10,000 in medical care on a questionable claim until liability is denied
by the insurance carrier. The Vitallia Team is here to ensure that the
insurance company protects your interests by fighting fraudulent claims.
